ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Retail Design Graphic Designer at Gisou will be expected to support the wider team in bringing to life evergreen, seasonal & new product launches across our retail environments. You will play a key role in translating evergreen & seasonal campaigns in 2D across our retail environments helping to define our visual merchandising story telling & drive commercial and productivity performance. You sit within the Retail Design Team, part of the in-house Creative Studio (including Retail Design, Branding, Product Design and Social), reporting into the Senior Retail Design Lead. Your remit includes, but is not limited to:
Creative Vision & Strategy
● Create un-bee-lievable retail graphic concepts (from small scale POS to large scale activations) bringing to life evergreen & seasonal campaigns through creative and commercial visual merchandising story telling.
● Develop mood boards, sketches, artworks and 2D renders to collate into inspirational presentation decks.
● Where needed, support with 3D renderings.
● Consistently push the boundaries of visual storytelling and driving Retail Design & Gisou creative and commercial strategies.
Creative Collaboration
● Work closely within the Creative Studio, as well as Global Marketing and Education teams to drive Gisou’s evergreen & seasonal identities.
● Work closely with regional teams to create an deliver Retail POS designs & artworks – balancing Brand, Regional and Retailer requirements.
● Work closely with vendors to define and execute key Retail POS designs & artworks.
● Provide a bridge between the Digital Design team (working across online assets) ensuring to work collaboratively to align on seasonal/brand identities.
Operational Delivery & Execution
● Manage and adhere to Brand, Creative Studio, and team timelines & CPA’s.
● Execute final artworks for production/print as part of Seasonal Toolkits.
Best in class Creative Studio
● Work collaboratively across Creative Studio, Global and Regional teams to drive commercial and productivity performance.
● Stay ahead of retail and design trends to keep Gisou at the forefront of the industry.
● Throughout the design process, encourage and drive sustainable design practices and innovative solutions.
WHO YOU ARE:
• 3+ years of experience in Graphic Design for Visual Merchandising, with a proven track record of managing projects from concept to execution.
• Experience working in house or at an agency for a beauty brand/s.
• Experience working with beauty retailers including Sephora, Ulta.
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign and Illustrator as main tools.
• Basic working knowledge of Figma to support the translation of digital assets into print ready files
• Basic working knowledge of SketchUp, or with a view to learn is a plus.
• Proficiency in working across Microsoft software is a plus.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, regardless of location.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus
